Your website is the most important system in your marketing operation. It's the hub from which your brand lives online, and the backbone of your content management, lead capture, and marketing automation. Here's how we take it from concept to launch.
We primarily build on two platforms:
Webflow.com is our go-to for sites that need a robust content management system (CMS) with complex data relationships. It's powerful but requires more development expertise, which is why we handle the build and ongoing support.
For most needs, we strongly recommend Framer.
Framer.com offers strong design flexibility with faster build times and solid CMS capabilities. It's a great fit for sites that prioritize visual polish and speed to launch.
Your Snapmarket team will recommend the right platform based on your needs, content volume, and budget during the discovery process.
Discovery and sitemap. We start by understanding the pages your site needs and how they relate to each other. This produces a sitemap, a top-level tree diagram of your website's structure with descriptions for each section.
Wireframe. Next, we create a low-fidelity visual layout of the sitemap. This shows the structure and content flow of each page without final design details, so we can align on the architecture before investing in visual design.
Mood board. We often gather visual inspiration to establish the aesthetic direction. You're welcome to contribute images, screenshots, or examples of sites you admire.
Design. We build high-fidelity prototypes in Figma that look and feel like the final site. You'll review these as clickable prototypes in your browser and provide feedback using Figma's comment tools. Design moves through low-fidelity with copy editing, then high-fidelity refinement.
Development. Once design is approved, we build the site on your chosen platform. This includes implementing the design system, setting up CMS collections if needed, and integrating any third-party tools.
Quality check. Before you see the finished build, our team runs an internal quality review. Only after that passes do we share it with you for a final review via MarkUp, where you can add your comments in context.
Pre-launch. We configure your domain's DNS settings, set up analytics tracking, implement any necessary redirects from your old site, and run through a pre-launch checklist.
Launch. We publish the site to your production domain and can create marketing collateral to announce the launch.
Ongoing maintenance. After launch, we can train you to manage your own content updates, or we handle ongoing maintenance as part of your engagement.
Sitemap: A tree diagram of your website's pages and sections.
Wireframe: A simplified visual layout showing page structure without final design.
Prototype: A high-fidelity version of your site in Figma with clickable navigation.
CMS: Content management system, which lets you (or us) publish and update content like blog posts, team bios, or case studies without touching the site's code.
Staging site: A private preview version of your site used for testing before launch.
DNS: Domain Name Service, the system that connects your domain name (like yourcompany.com) to your actual website. We'll guide you through any DNS changes needed.
Website timelines vary based on scope and complexity. A simple site can be designed and launched in a few weeks. A larger site with extensive content, CMS setup, and integrations may take several months. Your Snapmarket team will provide a specific timeline during the planning phase, and you'll see progress tracked through weekly project cycles.
